This week Nora and I went camping at Loon Lake (favorite family camping spot) with my parents and our good family friends. She did so well! We were spoiled and got to sleep in my parents' motor-home which made everything so much easier. She absolutely loved the campfires and was mesmerized every time she spotted it. My dad of course always wanted to put her feet in the lake, which she didn't mind too much. The car ride wasn't too bad either...gave her some Tylenol on the way down so she slept most of the way. For those of you who have ridden in the car with Nora, you understand the reason for the Tylenol...she sounds like she is definitely in pain. For as well as she did on the trip, she was definitely ready to be home.

My favorite times of day
I have many favorite times of day but there are 2 that really stand out.
The first is when Nora is asleep for the night. It means that Kevin and I have our time together. As much as we love Nora it is definitely nice to have time for just the two of us. We usually spend time talking about our day. Our days are definitely very different from the other. Most of you know that Kevin got a new job working for At&T. He really enjoys it but has to drive to McMinnville which is 40 minutes away. So while he is hard at work selling phones, I am hard at work trying to get Nora Belle to be a better napper...as well as doing many other things around the house. Oh yeah, and trying to make sure I take care of myself. So we either chat about how our day went, or watch movies, or our favorite is to just go stare at Nora in her crib and talk about her birth.
Another favorite is going to get Nora in the morning from her crib. As I said before, she sleeps through the night which means she goes about 9 hours without eating. You would think that she would be screaming ready for food. No, she smiles away and "talks" before I pick her up. It just melts my heart. I love it!
So last night she went to bed. The picture below is her in her crib (the way we always put her in) with her head at the end by the window. No, we don't put her in her crib and let her cry or fall asleep on her own. She is spoiled and rocked to sleep. Don't worry, I'm working on it but for now we swaddle and rock her. Don't judge. This other picture is how she was when I got her this morning. I was amazed! She did a 180 degree turn and completely escaped from her blanket. She can roll over from her stomach to back but she has never done this. I have no idea how we didn't hear her moving around on the monitor. Silly little girl! I just love her to pieces.I look forward to getting her every morning to see what I will walk into, even though it makes me so sad with all the changes that happen. It just goes by way too fast!
So for now, I will continue to rock her to sleep, enjoying every second of this baby girl.

It's About Time, Queen Napper
So...I opened this blog account months ago, just after Nora was born, thinking what a great way to show some pictures of our family and update what is going on in our lives. 3 months later, I am writing my first post. Yikes!
Reasons for not writing this post:
1. Fear (not sure what to write, afraid no one would be interested in my blog-if you have read my good friend Joy's blog you would understand why I was afraid....it's hilarious! How can I ever compete with that?)
2. Lack of Time (Nora is an amazing sleeper....has slept through the night since she was 4 weeks old. However, she is the Queen of 45 minute naps-I'm lucky if I shower and brush my teeth each day.)
So there you have it. Just 2 reasons but very good reasons indeed. So here's to my first post. I hope there will be more to come. I'm definitely going to try! So, I leave you with this: Nora is the Queen of 45 minute naps. She performs them amazingly well. What are you the Queen of? Maybe someone out there (someone who is very bored) will read this and respond.
My 45 minute napping Queen.
